Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Tanzania – Arusha

On your arrival at either Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you will be met by a guide or representative from Go Tanzania safari, he will then escort you to Mount Meru Game Lodge which is located in the heart of Tanzania’s tour centre were you will have your night as well as dinner. There are so many activities that can be enjoyed here including; shopping, swimming, visiting the Tanzania Museum, these can be enjoyed if you early in the country. Dinner Included.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

You will today leave Arusha after enjoying breakfast and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park, on arrival, you will have a short game drive through the lush groundwater forest where you will view many animals including; the tree climbing lions. You will arrive early evening at your lodge known as Kirurumu Tented Lodge, which is located at the edge of the Great Rift Valley, with the beautiful panoramic views of the lake. You will also sleep enjoying the comforting sounds of the African night.

Day 3, 4, & 5: Exploring Serengeti National Park

Leave kirurumu tented camp in the morning and proceed to Serengeti National Park, you will pass through the rich farmland reaching the lush montane forests of the Ngorongoro conservation Area highlands. After, you’re ascending and descending of the rift valley escarpments, have a stop at the Olduvai Gorge, which is one of the world’s most famous fossil and archaeological sites that date back to two million years where many early humans were discovered. You will also tour the Olduvai Museum before you enjoy your picnic lunch. Later in afternoon, continue with the game drive with in the Serengeti plains, which is one of the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world. Its home to the highest density of animals in the world as well as being known for its natural beauty, diversity and scientific value. During the game drive, you will get chance to witness the drama of life, death and rebirth within the primeval wilderness. You will enjoy three nights at the luxurious Serengeti Kati Kati Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 6: Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Early in the morning, drive to the spectacular Ngorongoro crater, which is the collapsed volcano, proceed to Mount Meru for an afternoon game viewing session and also enjoy a picnic lunch. You will then descend 2000 feet to the floor of this 10 mile wide caldera, which teems with variety of wildlife including the highest density of lions in Africa, the open savannah grassland, the lerai groundwater forest as well as the soda lake which is filled with thousands of flamingos. You will then drive back to the rim of the crater in the late afternoon and then an overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

Day 7: Explore Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Have breakfast and after spend half day within the crater following and photographing the animals as well as landscapes. You will relax with a picnic lunch and then leave on with an hour drive towards the historic and newly renovated lodge called Plantation Lodge which is located in the heart of coffee country in the time for the hot shower as well as cool drink before enjoying your dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Departure back to Arusha

Have breakfast and after return to Arusha having a stopover for lunch at the popular local restaurant and day accommodations at Kilimanjaro Airport Hotel before transferring to the airport for a return flight home.
